Thanks Chris! Yep, always happy to talk about this. I've compiled a few resources here (on our program's site, but links to outside sources):

Imprudent. But also unreasonable to restrict houses of worship and not other local businesses...

Bottom line, restrictions to houses of worship should be in line with other important businesses. But this is still a pretty silly case. I guess the supreme court justices miss moot court?

Oh man. What an idiot. Wonder what kind of golden parachute his ignorance won him?

Lol. Yep. Bot vs brainwashed. Both quite illegitimate and unreachable.

Ok? But maybe grow up already. You look like you're too old to be this obstinate. LOL

To put a finer point on this - what works is having adequate staff to take care of everyone. If we get hit too hard, or if too many of our staff are out sick/on quarantine, more hospital patients die. Wear masks Avoid gatherings Don't rely on neg. covid swabs

I am uncomfortable with the greenlighting based on negative testing. The value of negative test depends on; the type of test, the prevalence of disease in your community, and most importantly the amount of time since you have been exposed (unknown).

Exactly. But the UCs don't mind making a quick buck (and who can blame them?). Would be shocked if they provided any kind of education/context to people getting tested as "clearance" for group dinners.

Listening to a brilliant interview with Dr. - thank you for being a voice of reason! I just hope you're able to break out of the echo chamber....seems impossible today.

Not a particularly important thread (as marketed), but I do find this whole argument and the passion around it fascinating.

If you're uncomfortable with the size of the crowd at your Thanksgiving dinner you probably shouldn't be there, even if "everyone tested negative". H/t story this morning.

Turkey Day PSA: 1) COVID negative does NOT mean u don't have covid. Positives can be missed. You can still infect others. 2) If you have ANY symptoms DO NOT go to Thanksgiving gatherings and don't bother getting tested. Just go to ER if you need to.

But they don't. They don't accept that as fact just like they don't accept that Trump directly caused the deaths of thousands of americans through his incompetence and willful ignorance. To them he can do nothing wrong.

Shout out to the janitorial staff doing “terminal cleans” on covid patient rooms. Keeping us safe at minimal wage.
