Yeah spot on. High up on the y-axis, out performed their xG against. Low on the x-axis concede the least per game. So the top left are the best performing looking at it from an xG perspective.

Following on from these stats, who do you think has been the top keeper in the Championship this season? (Really hard to reduce it down to just 3!)

The following plot shows xGa minus goals conceded per 90 minutes on the y-axis and average goals conceded per 90 mins on the x-axis. It shows the keepers that have consistently performed better than their xG against.

24. Ipswich Town Initial performances weren't that bad, however results were poor. As the season progressed though, xG performance got worse even if results and points gained remained fairly consistent.

22. Rotherham United Their ‘points based on xG’ line was pretty much below the relegation line for all of the season. However, if you look at the table based on xG, they would have just stayed up.

19. QPR From the table we can see QPR were the biggest underachievers when comparing their xG performances with actual results. The xG table had QPR had 9th whereas in reality they finished 19th. It will be interesting to see if Mark Warburton can convert xG into points.

17. Birmingham City xG performance in the first half of season was good and it looked like they could have been outsiders for the play-offs until they were hit with a 9-point deduction. It will be interesting to see if they can build on this for next season.

16. Stoke City Overall, actual results and xG performance are quite close and intertwined here. After a poor start, performances and results never really threatened promotion or relegation.

15. Blackburn Rovers From this graph we can see that actual results were marginally better than what we’d have expected based on xG - the green line is above the blue line for the majority of the season.
