It's a beautiful shift in perspective, but it's not "really how we move in space". This particular reference frame isn't somehow more objective than one fixed to a point on the Earth's surface.

Human psychology is surprising and fascinating in many ways without quantum magic. We have many examples of other illusions that have psychological explanations, so I place a high likelihood on something similar for deja vu. I'm not saying that you're theory is impossible afaik.

Whilst I agree with the sentiment of not anthropomorphising machine optimisation processes, aren't terms like "multi-dimensional function fitting" or "intractable automated statistical inference" so vague that they describe human learning perfectly well too?
