UPDATE: DeKalb Schools Police reported a level 1 lockdown at Peachtree Charter Middle School, Chestnut Elementary Charter School, Dunwoody Elementary School, Dunwoody High School and Vanderlyn Elementary School. (AS)

This morning, members of our Crime Response Team conducted a distracted driving detail in the perimeter area (Ashford Dunwoody Rd) from 9am to 2pm. 41 total traffic citations were issued, 1 misdemeanor arrest. 39 of the citations were issued for distracted driving (cell phone)

Traffic Alert: Chamblee Dunwoody Road from Mount Vernon Road to Nandina Lane is closed for Light Up Dunwoody. The roadway will reopen at 7 PM. Festivities begin at 3 PM.
