Most people who buy and wear a poppy, and attend a service of Remembrance, will hear prayers for all the fallen, including enemies, innocents and civilians. I doubt they will read or hear the RBL's advocacy of 'a specific type of Remembrance' linited only to our own.

I think the best thing is not to put politics into it in the first place - which is why most people still buy and wear a poppy and do so with both pride and sadness.

I’m not sure you can separate them. The British Legion own and sell the poppy but they don’t own . Why you buy a poppy and how and whom you remember is up to you, whatever they ‘advocate’.

I refer you to the official Service of Remembrance, which states clearly that we remember all who died in war, without qualification. The poppy is sold for Allied service personnel, but that’s a different matter.
