I have lived with much uncertainty before. I learned to conquer fear being faced with my own mortality. Stage IV lung cancer taught me many wonderful lessons. One lesson is that today is a gift. Use it wisely or worry helplessly. The choice is yours.

Correct. If there was so much hope for this, why weren’t any studies done for ARDS in recent years - which kills almost 10,000 people each year?

VA Medical Centers are now using rapid COVID tests. Helps get negative patients out sooner to free up beds and reduce PPE use as we prepare for a surge of hospitalizations all across the country. Incredibly proud how quickly the is moving given its size.

Does anyone know someone who can improve the language that the OIG employees read with laser focus when checking boxes during these probes?

A lot of what we are seeing resembles the way Americans rallied during WWII. Which of course was followed very prosperous times - including a baby boom - once we defeated the enemy.

I once met a guy, said he was a very important thoracic surgeon. He told me he invented PFTs and ”wrote the chapter in Sabbistonn”. Once this was established, he confessed that he made the whole thing up and it wasn’t really as important everyone has made it out to be.
