Please stop telling me to leave the Labour Party. I won’t stop fighting against racism in the Labour movement. Personally I still think you’re in a stronger position to fight it from inside Labour. There’s a proud history of Jewish socialism and it’s worth fighting for.

The Labour Party urgently needs to create an independent body to look into complaints. It’s disgraceful that Jewish Labour members continue to feel unwelcome. Anti-Semitism must have no place in our party.

At the members’ meeting tonight, I announced that I wish to re-stand as the Labour MP for Tooting. It’s been an absolute privilege to represent the area I grew up in - and I’ll stay for as long as wants me. PS - I support a People’s Vote 🇪🇺🇪🇺🇪🇺

I met Richard Ratcliffe earlier on day 12 of his hunger strike - such a humble and gentle person despite everything his family is going through. We must , and she must be freed now.

So proud of continuing to raise this important topic. With demand for specialised services increasing, the Government must tackle this head on and increase funding to Rape Crisis Centres.

Thanks Rabnawaz. Superb event. Vital we continue to take the fight to the far right, call out the incitement of hate from some in the mainstream of politics and the media and appeal to the tradition of tolerance in Britain.

When someone's defence for assaulting a woman is that it was 'instinctive', the Ministerial Code is fairly low on my list of concerns...

You can see the anger in his eyes. Too many women are on the receiving end of this sort of anger on a regular basis, across the world, behind closed doors. It’s indefensible, it’s horrific.
