Not just hawking my book, but there’s quite a lot on the history of IQ in it, with references, and connections to the reality of algorithms.

I agree. But the language we use (strangely for blue in particular) may differ. This has that fascinating history:

A generalisation implies simplification of something complex. A law doesn’t have that implication. It’s part of why I say algorithms are prejudiced in

To be clear, I also support the 2nd ref, as the easiest solution, given the mess we are in. But, the LibDems aren't undemocratic in advocating revoke. Honouring the 1st ref is not necessary to be democratic. In fact, the opposite is true now: honouring it would be undemocratic.

Great illustration of how "AI" is simple-minded, in ways that always hurt minorities. The algorithm was probably trained on data that represented the majority in the UK, thus failing to inform it about the true range of human facial features.

Then the solution for you would seem to be revolution, since you don’t actually agree with the sovereign order upon which this nation is founded and operates. Fair enough.

What she said. Reminds me of the unsung heroism of Alice Lee, who destroyed craniology at UCL.

“We should reject the assumption that our built environment must become one big computer. We should erect barriers against the spread of ‘smartness’ into all of the spaces of our lives. To decarbonize, we need to decomputerize.”
