No she is getting so much negative attention because she is not white. But what Toby Young is suggesting that because she is rich, famous, beautiful she should not feel the effects of it, and has no right to complain about her mental health.

Rich people get bullied. Rich people get unhappy. Being famous and beautiful does not exempt someone from feeling vulnerable and depressed. It is awful that people like him do not have a very basic understanding of how bad mental health does not see race, beauty, money.

Why are you assuming that I have an accent? The fact that you see this as a 'complaint' says a lot.

Just another normal day, with people questioning the right of a brown woman to be one of 'them', be articulate and confident, and not be invisible. I am genuinely baffled by the comments about Nadiya and her appearance on the .

As a map-geek and lover of all things maps & one who has spent years researching and collecting maps of all sorts, through history and GIS technology, this makes me sad. Paper maps have a story to tell.

We celebrated early because whole family was together this wkend & for me, Diwali is about family. I don’t often make Indian food so it was good to try & make things for my children that my mum used to cook. Some jackfruit biryani, kadhi & baingan bharta, with pooris.

What really amazes me is how generous and open Bernardine is. She is an inspiration with her kindness, resilience and her championing of other writers.

“Thank you for asking, bc not many people have asked if I’m ok.” Sudden prominence is a very dehumanizing experience. There’s a part of your life that you lose, & it later dawns on you that you’ll never get it back. The people who treat you like a human make all the difference.
