Mystery lung illness linked to vaping reported in nearly 100 people | e-cigarettes should be better regulated. Similar to pharmaceutical products they should be sold over the counter, for smoking cessation only as a form of harm reduction.

Err...no. The UK would be ripping up the only legal & frictionless way we have of trading in medicines, food & other goods. We would be CHOOSING to rely on a slower route (WTO) that necessitates checks, tariffs & other barriers which causes delays & increase costs. You liar!

Ask searching questions about organisational culture: toxic organisations, at some point, *will* damage those working within them. Of course good organisations can go bad, and bad ones get shut down/re-label/re-launch, but the holy trinity is place/colleagues/organisation.

No, it’s just keratin. Takes great skill when nailing the shoe on not to hit sensitive structures beneath, though. And there is an argument that horses are better kept barefoot if possible, though most are shod (including mine!).

Just gave my name in starbucks as 'stop brexit,. As the (remain) barrista screamed out my 'name' repeatedly, the whole place erupted in to applause. Result. Try it.

While I was hesitant to tweet this, I’ve decided to take a stand. The first day of my teaching career (back in 2014), the reliving Principal pulled me into her office and said “I haven’t told any of the other staff that you’re Aboriginal, I think it’s better they don’t find out”.

I say this to my British friends, and especially to my English friends, and with the greatest of respect, but the day you all accept your place in today’s world, and stop pretending you’re a global superpower, honestly will make everything easier.

Don’t forget fishing. Nearly 300 foreign trawlers could enter British waters on day one. The leak forecasts clashes at sea, chaos at ports.

😳After 10 days of just 7hrs of sleep, the brain is as DYSFUNCTIONAL as it would be after going without sleep for 24hrs. 😳3 full nights of recover sleep are insufficient to restore performance back to normal levels after a week of short sleeping. Book: Why We Sleep M.Walker

Only a dangerous & incompetent Govt would knowingly & deliberately inflict this chaos on its people. This isn’t ‘worst case scenario’, it’s what Johnson knows will unfold & is completely at odds with his false reassurance to the public.

So helpful to see this. My parents died within 4days of each other in hospital & in neither case was I told they could die. Neither did my parents realise. So I was with neither of them at the end, arriving too late in each case. This was in 2015. I'm still in shock I think.

My dad had an intracranial haemorrhage whilst in hospital. The doctor told my mum ‘we can do this op’. I interrupted & asked him ‘if this was your dad what would you be doing right now?’ ‘I’d be saying my goodbyes to him.’ We opted for eol care. The doc couldn’t talk death.

I said “you are sick enough to die” to a 93 year old man with end stage COPD & pneumonia today. He was totally surprised. His family told me that even after two recent admissions to hospital and IVABs failing, NOONE has mentioned the “D” word. Family thanked me for being honest.

Vital to realise: bad news broken well ➡️new understanding that things are bad ➡️appropriate emotional distress ➡️beginning of finding a way to cope. You didn't upset those people: the bad news did. Compassion communicates itself through the way you deal with them. Just be kind.
