Greenhouse gases are accumulating in our atmosphere, our open spaces are under threat, our oceans are feeling the impact of our pollution, and our wildlife is in danger.

The CSU system won’t be increasing tuition next year! As a product of public schools & community college, I understand the struggles our students face to afford a higher education. I will continue to advocate for a truly affordable, quality education.

This is simply long overdue. Employers should provide the appropriate support for working parents. May Senator Duckworth be an inspiration to all.

CA has done incredible work to expand access to health care, protect women’s rights, fight back against climate change & defend our immigrant community. That’s who we are as a society. I will always stand up for our values.

We need to find a revenue source outside of the general fund for our higher education. This is an investment in our future, an investment in California, so we can reduce the cost of education for our families.

We need to bring more jobs to the middle class. We must be bold. The high speed rail brings good paying construction jobs. It allows someone who lives in Fresno to commute to San Francisco. However, it should be built at a lower cost.

I believe health care is a right. I’ve worked my entire life providing access to care to Californians. As a legislator, I’m proud to have fought to lower our health care costs, including taking on Big Pharma to lower the price of our medication.

The shooting was a tragedy. As a Latino & growing up in the San Gabriel Valley, I did fear the police. That’s why I believe we need to have more cultural sensitivity training so that our law enforcement understands the issues our communities are facing.
