Erratic. Impulsive. Dangerous. 180 degree flip flop in less than 8 hours. Now no quarantine. Less talk, more action, Mr President. We still lack ventilators, masks, tests, & other medical supplies.

If you truly want to support health workers, give us the policies that actually support us. Nationalize the supply chains for things that keep us safe, make our work conditions humane, and let us practice in a just healthcare system.

So many people have asked how they can help fight the pandemic. You can help by donating or giving a financial donation so we can try to buy whatever is available. And stay inside!

This will continue to happen across the US health care system until we get more PPE. This is completely unacceptable. We deserve better. must deploy resources to make more PPE NOW.

Things are getting worse by the day in NYC. I’m convinced that the only way we medical providers can really protect ourselves is to not show up. Unthinkable.

Unfortunately it feels like you could overlay this map with many conditions: - HIV - drug overdose - diabetes - homelessness - criminal justice involvement - COVID-19

Map of test positivity w/ highest % of positive tests in central Brooklyn, South Bronx, & parts of Queens incl. Jamaica & Rockaway. Many neighorhoods in these areas are predominantly Black & Latinx and/or immigrant. Will be important track inequities who’s impacted.

A sincere and true demonstration of what is happening in NYC medical centers. Uncensored. Not whitewashed. Not muzzled. Thank you Dr. Colleen Smith.

Many facilities in NYC stopped in-person outpatient visits and elective procedures a while ago. Part of the reason was to conserve resources, knowing that we would need to shift personnel and PPE to acute care settings.

Appreciate this. It’s much more difficult to do telehealth in the ER and hospital when people are acutely ill with potentially life-threatening COVID19.

Despite what politicians and CEOs say, in NYC we do not have enough PPE to protect health care workers. I cannot think about what this will be like in the coming weeks... We need PPE We need PPE We need PPE We need PPE We need PPE

Totally shameful Opioid use disorder is a medical illness. How can you take this young man, use him in football, prescribe opioids, and then kick him out with a life-long debt?

Yes - I work at a large medical center in NYC that has 11 hospitals. We are focused on mobilizing all resources to focus on urgent/emergent care. In this public health emergency, we are not quibbling about how many days of medications we provide for OUD.

Most methadone programs are offering take home bottles for 14 days for unstable pts, and 28 days for stable pts. This is consistent w/ federal regs. Check out 's most recent guidelines about treating opioid use disorder in the era of
