The picture for that blog entry was drawn by George Barr, who contributed many fine illustrations -- not just for us either!

Halcyon days working in adjacent offices, playing each other's games.

The world needs more Erol Otus. The fact that Patton Oswalt is the one promoting Erol is icing on the cake, where the cake is reality and you can't actually eat the cake. At least the world gets more Erol!

Farewell Dan Winters, one of the most positive, kind and helpful people in the games business -- not to mention a genius story-teller. You will be missed.

Trying to manufacture some outrage for sympathy, but trolling not strong in this one is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ouch! First, we made a boring game that was almost 'a much more boring game'. Second, "Yeah, yeah, Fred and Paul, but ARTWORK!". It's alright. George Barr is a unique artist, who definitely deserves the recognition.

Hi Be'erit! I did read this, but a couple years after we finished The Ur-Quan Masters. I love Vinge's earlier stuff like The Peace War/Marooned in Realtime*, and of course, True Names. (*The idea of 'missing' the Singularity I find both deeply compelling and kinda funny.)

That was a great retrospective, Mr. Walrus! I appreciate how well you communicated the depth and non-linearity of the game while never spoiling any real secrets. Also kudos for making the time limit clear.

We pronounce it "Rich-E" when we're at home in the US, and "R-r-eye-shhh-uh" when we're anywhere else.

We had no idea how quickly and generously fans would support The Frungy Defense Fund, but in only a handful of days The Most Awesome Hunams have provided over $13,000, which is as they say ‘real money’ (important since so far ‘imaginary money’ has proven less effective). Thanks!!

Hey Aaron! Long time since our last Ming Yen lunch. Even now, I can taste the Szechuan Chicken... perhaps because I ate so much of it that my body is now mostly recycled Szechuan Chicken.

Believe it or not, you are the first human* who has told me they actually played this adventure. I hope you and the party had fun! *Several non-humans may or may not have played -- I'm not telling.
