POLL and people are largely invisible in our local history so we are thinking or recording the history of those in the Disability rights movement in 1970s-2000s. Do you think we should? Would you like to be involved? Would you like to know more first?

Please help fund Disability Labour to run the Disability Hub at the Labour Party Conference in Brighton this year. We urgently need to raise money to pay for our accommodation. Please share with your CLP & anyone who can fund us.

There are many valid reasons to use a wheelchair. I sometimes get a little fed up of explaining that being able to walk a few meters doesn't mean I 'don't really need a wheelchair' - it means without my wheelchair I'd be housebound! Card from

EVERY DAY I come across comments mocking wheelchair users who can walk, "it's a miracle 😂" It hurts because it's VIOLENT! Getting up from a wheelchair does not negate disability and your ignorance put targets on our backs!

We support the statement by that the current survey on ME/CFS specialist NHS services is probably intended to demonstrate support for harmful CBT and GET in the NICE review. We recommend not taking the survey

So agree with , we all have the right to identify as we wish and just because one person with autism can cope with sailing the Atlantic on a boat doesn’t mean everyone with autism can. Same applies with Paralympic athletes and those of us who could never compete.

That Citizens Advice actually signed such a contract shows they are no longer independent and that they are betraying their values and original aims. Very unwise and letting people down when they need help the most

Quite right , all of us are one accident or illness away from disability, usually without causation. Disability can happen if you are rich or poor, and those who become poor as a result of the impact of disability are victims of a system that fails the most vulnerable.

DPAC Sheffield are raising money to buy tape recorders so that people can record their PIP appointments. Please support them, if you are able. Please encourage other DPAC groups and your local Unite Community to do the same.

is unfit to be a Government Minister. She clearly has no respect for disabled people and no understanding of mental health either!
