A lot of times, what we see in someone and we label as “arrogance” is nothing but a harmless display of confidence which threatens our insecurities. Sometimes the problem is not them. It’s us.

So my Pastor just asked men in church: “If a man earns 150k in Lagos, & woman earns 750k in Kaduna, who should resign & relocate after marriage?”. Some men insisted the woman should relocate. Na patriarchy dey cause poverty for many men oo!

Overall, we can only wish the girl well and hope she finds the strength to get her money back and get her life together somehow after all of this ordeal. Life is a funny place filled with many surprises- some good, some not so. But we must find a way to move on regardless. 😔

Like how do you hope to build a marriage with money you dubiously got from another girl? If this story is exactly what is stated, Kings, this is not regal or kingly. This is opportunistic lowlife ratchet behaviour- one that should never be heard of, among men that have honour.

And to imagine he probably wasn’t even thinking at all about any consequences of his actions whatsoever. How is he not bothered at all? How? Because even IF humans can’t punish you, what about God? How far and how fast can u run from His Justice even if you escape that of man?

A man who can do this is practically capable of anything. And I’m sorry I can’t defend this sort of blatant wickedness on another human being. I really can’t. And it’s quite absurd reasoning to start saying “But women also...” Pls NO buts. Let’s be decent enough to admit wrong.

But all of that is even besides the point. We need to do better as men IF this story is exactly as it is stated. It’s bad enough he’s not marrying her, using her money to marry someone else is some really ratchet behaviour no one should ever exhibit. It’s terribly messed up...

Before you handover your school fees to a man (money your parents worked hard to give you) or empty your savings for a woman, ask yourself this ques- Will I be OK if this money goes down the drain? If your answer is not a convincing YES, then u should think twice and think deep.

While love can be such a paralysing emotion that can trigger spontaneous decisions, be double careful you don’t take financial decisions that are not well thought out and which may have grave consequences. That being said, everyone clearly should do whatever suits them best.

And maybe this is a good time to talk about loans. IF u are not married yet to someone, maybe you should be a bit wiser about giving out as loan an amount of money that you know you can’t afford to lose. I’m not telling anyone what to do or not do, I’m just saying think twice.

I understand extreme stories like this is what some people hold on as reason to say “all men are scum” and that’s understandable even though it’s clearly an unfortunate generalisation. But for real, we need to do better. If this lady dies, how do you want her family to feel?

The impact of the news got the young lady in shock and landed her in the ICU of a hospital. This sort of cruelty and wickedness is completely inhuman and inconsiderate, and we should disown such behaviour with all forcefulness. Again this is not being smart. This is barbaric.

The story is he told the young lady he needed the money for some fictitious business deal on Paris only to be seen doing an Introduction Ceremony with another girl in another state. Brothers, there’s no way we will spin this scenario, it’s clearcut emotional and financial fraud.

Brethren, news broke that one brother borrowed 650,000 naira (about 1350£) from his girlfriend to do Introduction with the love of his life. We need to hav a Brother’s Meeting and tell ourselves the cold truth- This is NOT being smart. This is fraud and wickedness. A big shame.

Prayer: In the name of Jesus, I remind you O Lord of your promises. You are not a man to lie, nor the son of man to repent. Today, I take my stand as your child and say let your covenant be established in my life. [ LIVE ]
