You seem to have been brigaded into suspending the account of a completely legitimate user and an actual authority on the subject of the (apparently manufactured) complaints.

Ah I see "we did this synthesis because it could be used to make a Covid-related molecule (even though it definitely never will be used in that way)" is the new "we made this natural product because it's bioactive in some way"

📣 We need your help. This is the post we hoped to never write, but today marks a huge turning point in The Strand's history. Our revenue has dropped nearly 70% compared to last year, and the loans and cash reserves that have kept us afloat these past months are depleted.

Twitter suspended after this article, in which he's quoted, was published. It's about how Russian scientists, working on ways to poison people with chemicals, worked with Kremlin intelligence. Obvious mass-reporting by trolls! Retweet!

Agreed, astonishing. Of the three included studies, one lacked control, two lacked blinding, all three lacked inclusion of current standard of care, results mixed, and an entirely negative real world RCT was larger than these put together. 'Effective'? What?

I just heard that James Randi died. He was a huge figure in the critical thinking movement, a friend, and, for a year and a half, my boss. The world is a bit more credulous without him.
