I agree, so no problem. I am glad the new NHS message declares everyone has a risk instead of mentioning only the elderly. I hope we will get a better picture of children soon too... again it might be much less often compared to adults but we owe them go be cautious!

I didn’t say they are not being studied at all: they were just not studied as part of this particular one (the base of this study served originally a different research question).

Interesting thread on the second lockdown in Israel. It worked faster than the first lockdown. The reasons for this are unclear, but masks were mandated this time, and the lockdown was more targeted. Schools were closed and gatherings were banned.

tw: misogyny, discrimination, harassment in academia A thread about my observations from academic and other contexts. I've felt compelled to write this after realising how the deliberate framing of these issues prevents any change in the status quo, and perpetuates injustice.

Much activity in our Facebook Action Group today. Nothing less than devastation at the ill-judged, dismissive, inaccurate statement in response to Briefing Q about Will please listen to, not invalidate people living w/ 1/3

Yes, we're tired of Covid. The answer isn't to surrender to it and try for herd immunity. The answer is to fight smarter.

Many non-white female friends & colleagues are under attack online because they speak calmly & sensibly about science & measures. This is misogyny & racism. Nothing more I call upon our institutions, universities, research institutes etc to take these attacks seriously
