And pro-tip: it’s never a bad idea to lead with WHY you want to support a particular brand rather than leading with how you are willing to support them and what you hope to gain in exchange. Whys are always more compelling than hows and whats.

I think that works for brands that have open or at least known PR lists. It’s clear and honest, nothing wrong with that. If you’re unsure if the brand even does PR, you might use a subject like “how can I support (insert brand name)”.
