It looks like Democrats are ready to make a big push behind vs in one of the few GOP-held seats in New York City & with control of the Senate at stake >>

This. And attempted rape fits right in the hit man profile.

Now you're catching on. There's a real question of character here. I mean, what kind of guy pursues, as a prosecutor, the absurd and baseless theory that the Clintons killed Vincent Foster for TWO WHOLE YEARS? Only one of many examples.

Exactly. I expect the Democrats to make that perfectly clear, sooner rather than later. But they do dash my expectations occasionally, so we'll see, I guess. Also, BTW, I've seen speculation GOP thinks Judge will take Fifth, which they don't want.

Kavanaugh seemed eager to go on Monday. Might change his mind?

They're going to have to call Judge if Kavanaugh and supporters are going with mistaken identity.

In my experience, jurors (and here the public are the jurors) really do not like it when the side that could have called an important witness doesn't. And if the GOP on the committee won't call him, I expect Ford and the Democrats to make that a BIG issue. 2/2

You mean they'll say Judge doesn't have to testify because they talked to him? I'm saying if there's a public hearing with witnesses (Ford & K), it will not play well in public if the other person alleged to be there is not also called to testify. 1/2

Those tweets are libel per se, after all. Hard to make out that the guy was a public figure before Whelan's tweets. 2/2

These guys don't seem to have very good judgment -- the one Whelan has chosen to finger may have gotten carried away with loyalty to Kavanaugh, and allowed himself to be set up. I can't believe Whelan would risk the libel suit that would follow, if his target weren't in on it.1/2

So far, the only guy taking nearly as much heat as Whelan is Douthat. Nice work.

If she testifies that Judge was in the room (Kavanaugh's lookout?), it's going to be hard for the GOP members not to call him. They'll never be able to justify that.

Best theory I've heard is that the "rando" isn't a rando but is in on the game (another G'town preppie, right?).

Some retweets have been pulled. I say one or two retweets but had the good luck not to read further than the first tweet, deciding that it was worthless right there.
