You’re putting a high philosophical gloss on a decision that was made out of raw fear.

Apparently Dave, the wisdom of Christ is somehow secondary to that of men, according to what I see in Ryan's tweet (please correct me if I'm wrong). Gee, what's the worse that could happen when men think they know better than God? *obvious sarcasm*

It is interesting that for years the left has been demanding that evangelicals not vote their morals, then they did. And we all got Ttump. It’s ironic, and sad, and terribly upsetting all at the same time

To be fair, a lot of evangelicals voted for Rubio, Cruz, or Carson in the GOP primaries. Trump only won primaries that had crossover votes from Independents and Democrats. Which suggests a lot of evangelicals did not vote for him except when faced with Hillary Clinton prospect

Not fear. A fighting spirit that was sorely lacking.

Pat Robertson was motivated by fear? Seems like greed might have been a factor. Was Falwell motivated by fear, or was power his fuel? "Fear" is a sympathetic read, I'm not sure I fully buy it.

Fear of having a pathological, psychotic, and autocratic President HRC? Absolutely.

If by fear, you mean an irrational or emotionally-driven response, I don't think you're being fair.
