Imagine one big Patreon we all supported. Then we picked some people to manage it and they did stuff like build schools, provide healthcare, and protect the environment. I dont know, just thinking out loud here.

Going to a park or national historic site this long weekend? Keep your eyes peeled and wave at CSA astronaut as the flies over your area on Saturday night! 👋

For me: deep breathing, fan noise, and putting away worry for later.

Self-care is great, but have you ever had a living wage, good benefits, and a strong grievance procedure protected by a legally binding contract?

I bet in remake Mufasa dies from malnutrition brought on by climate change driven habitat loss. And when Simba meets Zazu he doesn't get advice, he just gets a biting, funny, and surprisingly well-researched rundown of this week's news.

There will always be a different interpretation to find. If you dont like one version, just move on. There are too many more important things to care about in real life. At the end of the day, how Batman or Starfleet are portrayed doesnt matter and art owes you nothing.

The same went for when the comic movie boom started. I wanted them to interpret characters as I had. But as I matured I realized it was silly to care about others'interpretations of fictional characters. If I didn't like it I should just find a different version or ignore it.

I used to be the moaning type. It came from reading comics as a kid/teenager. When an artist or writer I didn't like came on a series I would complain. Then I realized it didn't matter. I could just seek out interpretations I did like.

Between and theres been a lot of fandom moaning going on lately. My personal belief is that artists owe me nothing, if I don't like their work I move on to something else.

Signing a petition cause you didn’t like someone’s art is straight up rude ass. Don’t be a dick! Spend that angry energy on the climate crisis, cause literally only one of those things is going to kill us.

The Phantom Menace came out 20 years ago today, and I'd like us to take a moment to psychically apologize to Jake Lloyd, who was a child and did not deserve what society did to him because we didn't like his movie.

Saw again with a dead crowd. Sadly it wasn't as fun as the cheering and laughing of opening night. Yet, inevitably there was again the stock mouth breather explaining characters to someone who apparently was still blown away by the idea of a shared universe.

Where do we go after ? Will it ever be the same? I'm interested in Spidey, Captain Marvel, Guardians, and Sam, but the Infinity Saga and the main team was my emotional connection. Like Cap said, sometimes you just gotta move on.
