This thread should make everyone smell their own armpits. I checked my own and did not emerge unscathed. The thing I want to avoid most is humble brags. If you’re proud of yourself, claim it. Don’t mask one call for attention (grats) as yet another call for attention (aww).

I think that’s right. One of the biggest distinctions might be whether or not the video is claiming to show unaltered footage of reality, vsβ€”sayβ€”negative but obviously fake changes. Then it’s all about the labeling language and UI.

The only places "just patch" doesn't work is in the places where it's needed most. ICS, Hospitals, Schools, Government, Military, Law, … We know there's something stopping it from being easy, otherwise it would have already happened.

My other favorite. In the Analytics app, I frequently get alerts in the top right of the screen. Notifications, in a blue bubble, saying (obviously) to go there and see what's happened. 4/10 times it gives me a message: "There is nothing to see here." $!@#&%

Google continues to fail horribly at UI/UX. 1. Go to 2. You're logged in with one account, but you want a different one 3. You choose to log in to the second account 4. It drops you in , as the FIRST user, not the second $!@#&%

Now imagine if the car was big enough to carry dozens of people, and you linked a bunch of them together, and ran a regular service along lines that linked dozens or hundreds of locations around the city.

I suggest an audiobook at 2.5x speed and power-walking for 30 minutes. Then maybe a 30-minute nap. You’ll wake up ready to crush it.

An absolutely brilliant article on Data Brokers and how they collect and share our data.

No, things aren't going perfectly as Steven Pinker says they are. Pinker isn't wrong that many things are way better, but he ignores deep problems that non-elites are facing around the world.

Just had our best EDC ever with and , and we’re already planning for next year! Sorry to all the friends who were there that we never got to see. The crowds were especially massive this time. Highlight: Technoboy with Jason. Truly epic.
