Regardless of your age, title, or position on a team... EVERYONE is a leader. You're either a negative leader or a positive leader.

When you see KY teachers rallying at the capital on the news today remember they are there fighting for funding for their students not their pensions or salaries. The current budget proposal dismantles public education while providing funding for charter schools,

Let this sink in. We are to the point where advocacy is needed for PRE-SCHOOL funding as opposed to giving taxpayer money to private schools. Is this real?

On Tuesday we were fortunate to have Sheriff Matt Sanderson join us at our DS Rotary meeting. He spoke about the numerous responsibilities of a sheriff. We’re grateful for his efforts and partnership in Hopkins County. Sheriff Sanderson is a champion for kids and our community.

Frankfort plans to take away programs that target needy children to support the funding of Charter Schools. Sounds like the sheriff in robin hood. If you are in a school that needs family resource centers and preschool programs retweet

In DS School is IN on regular time Wednesday 3/21. I’ve been out on the roads around DS for nearly the last hour and it’s almost 5:30am, I can find NO ice on the roadways EXCEPT bridges and overpasses may be extremely slick. Use caution and be safe. The temps are between 33-34.

Let this sink in . . . The KY Senate decided to cut funding for preschool, FRYSC, professional development, teachers pensions, the arts, instructional supplies, and higher education. But it funds charter schools.

Take a good look at the names in green. They chose charter funding over services for our most vulnerable students.

It’s an exciting morning in Lexington at KASA as we just heard info on the teacher retirement system... and things have improved greatly contrary to the negative rhetoric in some areas. Now listening to Redbook regulation information. Redbook and taxes... ouch
