Out running in NYC rain, struck by the century-long triumph of environmental regulation that allows air so clean in a huge city.
We should celebrate environmental success to demonstrate the power of government regulating for public good & driving technological change. pic.twitter.com/XqxJMrqjCq

PM2.5 AQI is 50, it's 200 in Dhaka where I was last week.
(Of course this is air pollution not climate, and of course there's a blowhard at the top trying to dismantle it, but for now just enjoy the reasonably clean air)

I lived in Manhattan from ‘65-‘70. Both the air and the rivers were foul. When we apply ourselves we can solve big problems. Rinse and repeat.

Yes. And thanks to you for playing a significant role over the last half century in making all this happen. See you in 10 min

The air is clean enough that I can (unfortunately) smell each car, and especially truck, when I'm outside. Looking forward to EV takeover!

Thank you! Such a great sentiment. As I sit here in Indonesia breathing smoky air I really appreciate clean air regulations in the USA.
