My local shop hasn't gotten orders in for weeks so I'm behind on my SW comics but I'm very cruious to get to this one as the writer of this mini-series is usually better than this in my experience

this is possibly the most grim utilitarian unappealing Mcdonald's I've ever seen.

I do miss hearing the Fox fanfare before a Star Wars movie

Every once in a while you see something that encapsulates the absurdity of the moment.

PLEASE be patient with employees as rolls out. PLEASE clean up after yourselves when the movie ends. Concessions lines will be long, so get there early. Say “thank you.”

Honestly, I tend to get over the CGI additions. They're annoying but they also cleaned up other effects nicely. But music and sound stick with me so when I hear it differently it's more disorienting to me

As a side note having grown up with the VHS and then the DVD Special Editions watching the current "blu ray" release version really messes with me. The number of audio changes where they altered volume or effects or the mix in general throws me for a loop

I got an itch to watch that after Celebration and the hype for IX but if I want to watch one then I want to watch them ALL and Clone Wars and Rebels and now Resistance and soon The Mandalorian (which I saw footage of and it looks fucking great)

I feel like I SHOULD re-watch the Avengers movies this week before Endgame as a super short fun refresher but I WANT to watch Star Wars over and over. Quite the dilemma honestly

If we forgive student loan debt, what next? We forgive medical debt?? We outlaw punitive interest rates??? We reorganise our economy around the needs of the many rather than the interests of the few???? Is that what you want????? A society where human life has value?????????

this is because actual force ghosting requires allowing yourself to become one with the force and accept one's death. Something that sith philosophy is antithetical to

it's more of a residual dark side energy than a true ghost in that it is bound to a place or object and isn't the being's actual consciousness (though Momin was a special case where his consciousness was trapped in the helmet)

we see lots of stories about legacy from the POV of the person leaving the legacy but not from those who actually have to live with it

I think a lot of this film is gonna be about wrestling with legacy but from the perspective of those living with the results of the previous generations legacy

I'm not convinced Sidious is actually BACK. A Clone Wars S6 Darth Bane style-remanant dark-side spirit? sure. the legacy of his contingency plans on top of contingency plans? absolutely. Straight up alive? ehh I find that hard to believe
