More photos from today. Sad to see so much polystyrene in our waterways, all affecting wildlife 😕💚🦆🐟 @

we joined today. Sooo much plastic debris! Broken down polystyrene was the worst of it all, and polystyrene fast-food packaging. All that slowly on its way to the sea...

Hi guys, how can we put Crosby on your map? Crosby Beach is not classed as “bathing”, but people swim and paddle there and we do have UU treatment plant on Mersey river bank.

Cigarette butts do not bio-degrade but break down into micro-plastics. They contain over 4,000 toxic chemicals which can seep into our oceans. Just a single butt can contaminate over 7 litres of water ❌ 🚬 picked up this bag (over 1,000) in just one day!

Those with any sense know that the "smart water" comes from the tap and refilling the reusable bottle and not supporting an industry that bottles water and transports it miles upon miles as well as plastic. Green wash cannot erode our values any longer!

A light summer shower (!) didn't put off the second volunteering team who joined us for more beach litterpicking today. Thanks for braving the rain all!
