Killing Them Softly - great mob movie with the 08/09 financial crisis as the backdrop. Wonder when we’ll get a good movie with the Coronavirus shutdown as the back drop.

Everyone focuses on Supply and Cost of capital. Availability is the third leg and always the most important. It doesn’t matter how much of, or how cheap, Capital is if you can’t get it.

Well funded startups with businesses not adversely affected by the shut down with $800 per hour lawyers applying for PPP is obscene.

So it's pretty clear the banks are adding layers to the PPP program that will prevent valid companies from getting funds. My wife is 20yrs a sole proprietor. Has an EIN#. Has a "personal" account for years. May not make it through the weeding process. This is insane.

If you have an existing account my guess is yes. You can alway refuse second loan if one offered to you.

something tells me this is being done to save face. I don't expect to hear from anyone until next week. This is insane. is going to push this out slowly with individual calls and the money is likely to run dry or we'll be weeks behind in processing.

Or they're a DOS attack. Or they're clients are just bombarding their page hoping it will refresh and allow applications. This is crazy.

Chase Cares landing page is down. Perhaps they are updating to accept applications?

Bubble me this. Markets will jump all over the place. If the stock market is pricing future earnings then a higher market is purely trader's play. Cos supported solely through Gov stimulus is not sustainable and real unemployment is approx. 13% right now.

I agree with your stages. I disagree with the timing of stage one. We are solidly in stage one with almost every current indicator. Unemployment 4.4% (actual is around 13% given filings) Dow is up 13% from low. Stimulus is likely wks/mths from hitting accounts. PPP SBA a mess
