Dad was in the army for almost 30 years. Now he can't be in largely packed places due to PTSD. Not to mention the years of not having a dad because he was on the other side of the world fighting your psuedo-war. But hey thanks for the health insurance.

There’s just an unnecessary amount of stress on my relationship and I only get to see my bf once every 6 months if I’m lucky but other than that things are greeeaaaatttttt. Also I have a newly found hatred for the military. Thanks

I started basic with one bag of clothes, broken glasses, a history of abuse & noplace else to go. I left with bad knees, a good skillset, a certain amount of cynicism, excellent friends, and a spouse and pets. Built my current life on the foundation the Army gave me.

Met my wife. Almost got killed on Mar. 23, 2003. Medevac’d 2 of my Marines. Lived in Japan for 5 years over 4 tours. Visited 28 countries. Lost more than 12 friends and colleagues to wars. Met a lot of good people. Spent a 5 years on the CMC’s staff in the Pentagon. Retired 2015.

It gave me a sense of pride that’s indescribable. It instilled lifelong values that I feel good about every day. And finally, I belong to the largest brotherhood in the world. Only those that have served will understand.

My cousin was institutionalized for months after his tours in Iraq. He can't function properly without a shit load of meds daily. The family doesn't allow him to sleep in the house because he is unpredictable. He sleeps in the shed out back. He has a nice Benz though sooo, yay?🤷🏾‍♂️

The Navy also "lost" my discharge paperwork twice, so to this day, I have not been reimbursed per diem for driving from CT back home to AZ -orrr- the cost of the plane ticket from Guam to CT, which they informed me I had to psy myself after I was already boarded.

To be clear: I have zero regrets that I didn’t follow what my 17-year-old self thought she wanted to do with her life and career. But I wish I had been given the dignity of choosing that for myself.

I actually didn’t get around to serving because I was sexually assaulted by three of my classmates during a military academy prep program. They went to the academies and are still active duty officers. I flamed out of the program and have PTSD.

It mangled my health and defrauded me my service related claims by "losing" my documents. Though I kept them all, somehow the VA just keeps losing them or rejecting them on account of the Army having no record of ANYTHING I ever did apart from enlist and get honorably discharged.

Boris Johnson has set out his Brexit stance. V significant: “A new leader will have the opportunity to do things differently and have the momentum of a new administration. We will leave the EU on October 31 deal or no deal. The way to get a good deal is to prepare for a no deal"

JOHNSON: The backstop is a 'monstrosity' that wipes out the UK's sovereignty. It is 'is being used to coerce the UK into becoming a vassal state of Brussels'. (though he did vote for it that one time)

Has good econ advisors behind him. But will be a loose cannon on some issues: tendency for high minimum wage support, big infrastructure projects & may even appoint Rudd Chancellor to try to unite party. Prob best chance of beating Corbyn and stopping socialism.
