I love how downtempo it gets around here on Friday nights.

This is the kind of analysis that brings you insights like "Antifa is good because the name means 'anti-fascist.'" also, losing elections.

This photo blows my mind. It's the surface of asteroid , taken by the lander, deployed by the spacecraft. A real place, out there, in the dark. And we've been there.

Unbelievable is the Democratic Party fumbling to Trump, maybe twice.

This tweet was about the Democrats blowing it again, not climate change. Triggering intensified.

Put up an electable Democrat who isn't constantly yammering about gender and race nonsense, then. Otherwise, I can't actually believe you're serious.

Might better be phrased, from my perspective, "Free the Jimmy."

Not much except the how. In Marxism, it was believed that the capitalist class and bourgeoisie propagandized people into false consciousness. Under postmodernism, we all participate in this process through how we speak about things and legitimize what is true.

Paulo Freire writes from the Brazilian slums in the 60's - "the oppressed need to be educated about their oppression". Bell Hooks reads this and thinks - "if we sprinkle some Postmodernism on this we can teach Ivy League students that they're oppressed".

Catching up with the Evergreen College story. It's like The Killing Fields except instead of executing intellectuals they made them pretend to be in a canoe. I am actually not joking.

I say this cognizant of the counterpointed fact that I always hold out for hope that circumstances change such that I won't feel compelled to celebrate the demise of those two people. I'm not holding my breath, though.

I say this fully aware that I still have a list of two people whose deaths I'll celebrate with a bottle of Dom, but I'll do so privately. I don't think they're terribly complex characters, though. That list is small for a reason.
