I'm supporting the introduction of a redress scheme for homes affected by defects built during the Celtic Tiger. Families are living in danger and their homes need to be made safe. Can you join me by signing this petition? via

In Kenya, over 30% of girls under 18 experience sexual violence and more than 40% of pregnancies are unintended. This is where our 14-year-old client lost her life after a botched abortion. This is where 7 women die every day from unsafe abortion. This is where we're fighting.

I don't mind Right-Wing thugs chucking their drinks on me. I don't mind them poking me in the face with a flagpole. I do mind that Nigel Farage is set to WIN the European Elections on Thursday, by calling anyone who opposes a form of Brexit he said would never happen, "traitors".

President Trump is demanding billions of dollars to detain immigrant children in “influx facilities.” We visited one last month. It’s no place for children. These facilities are never in the best interests of the child. Congress should not give the President one cent for them.

We began our hearings today. My focus was on an effective right to work, cooking facilities, oversight, minimum human rights standards & the €72m paid to private companies running centres in 2018. There's deep cruelty in our asylum system but we can change it.

Ellen, you have done exceptional work with and your reporting was in large part the reason the paper became my 'go to' every morning. I have no doubt that you will continue that work somewhere else very soon...and look forward to seeing what you do next.
