4th graders have been working hard identifying line + space notes in the treble clef! They love using the Staff Wars app to review while completing their formative assessment.

I use that app for a Staff Wars Challenge. The student from each class who gets the highest score by the end of the 9 weeks earns their own “light saber”. It’s a light-up stick thing Dollar Tree sells. Some of the kids get so good, they can beat my score!

Using counting skills in Kindergarten music this past week! I turned the common nursery rhyme, "One, Two, Buckle My Shoe" into a math integration activity where my kinders had to put all of the numbers in order before we finished saying the rhyme. 🧮
