IT & e-surveillance initiatives have made it impossible to pilfer coal at Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. Its e-surveillance unit monitors operations 24X7 in real time, uses GPS/GPRS-based vehicle tracking, geofencing mining areas & monitors sidings at Angul, Jharsuguda & Sundergarh.
