Proud of this brilliant video in support of the Labour Party and . The Tories have smashed our streets and our members know more about it than most. It’s time to take them back

It's been amazing seeing and listening to charities, faith groups, unions and grassroots community activists in Glasgow North East - We're putting their lived experience at the heart of policy 🌹

I’m fascinated by that. “Socialism periodically weakens the economy”. Market liberalisation, erosion of workers’ rights and salaries, and building an economy on personal debt hasn’t exactly been a roaring success, has it?

The only people promoting, consistently, “self-serving” behaviour are your beloved Tories. I have many thoughts on the welfare state, it’s successes, failures, and where it should go next. None of which involve starving people into serfdom (present Tory policy).

I have plenty of experience of how trades unions work to defend and improve the lives of their members. It’s always a source of sadness to me that some, such as yourself, cannot see why we all benefit from that.

“Consistently” is a word that connotes a regular track record. I would have said that spending disproportionate parliamentary time in each term of office for 40 years on reducing workers rights implies a pattern of behaviour. “Consistency”, of you like.

Employment Act, ‘80 & ‘82 TU Act, ‘84 Employment Act ‘88 & ‘90 Dock Work Act ‘89 TU & Labour Relation Act ‘92 TU reform & Employment Rights Act, ‘93 TU Act 2016. In or out of the EU, the Tories have consistently sought to weaken workers rights - to the point of obsession.

This is staggering. There is cross-party revulsion at the “rape clause”, and there is an opportunity to end it. Why, when they’d be backed to the hilt in Parliament to do so, would the SNP choose not to fix this?

BBC News - First NOTE! The economy doesn't work in the same way as a household budget So, when we cut spending we have more money left in our pockets Whereas, when govt cuts back, its income falls, so, borrowing rises & debt rise too Austerity is self-defeating - Agree RT
