the demand that Shokin be fired as a condition for IMF loan almost certainly originated with Biden staff. The demand was first announced to Ukr prosecutors at Jan 19, 2016 meeting with US officials hosted by Eric Ciaramella.

2/ the demand appears to have been communicated in earily December by Biden staff (including Carpenter) to Ukr activist Sergiy Leshchenko at meeting in Washington on Dec 1, 2015, just as NYT breaking Hunter Biden story in US. Ciaramella may have already been involved.

Starting to wonder if EC and /orothers learned he was subject of a criminal investigation by, oh I don't know, John Durham. filing as a WB provides some cover if indictments are unsealed

Shokin assistant called. Said it was Soros who wanted Shokin fired. They smeared him as "corrupt" but he wasn't. He asked why he was fired, he said there's no accusation of corruption in court against him, nothing. Only smears. Said after firing, Biden (Hunter?) made an apology.

do you have non-public info? can you provide more details? Not necessarily inconsistent. As observed in timeline, ANTAC, a Soros-backed organization, announced its intent to remove Shokin in late December 2015, a few weeks after Biden staff informed Leshchenko of similar intent
