Rules vary from city to city, but in , plastic caps smaller than three inches (like plastic soda bottle caps) can be screwed back onto empty/dry plastic bottles because they are the same material. Plastic lids on coated paper (milk cartons) is not best practice.

Sharps and needles are NOT recyclable. Please place these items into a puncture-resistant plastic bottle, secure the lid and tape shut for safety. Label the bottle “Sharps, do not recycle” and place in your garbage container.
