On Tuesday, the Infrastructure and Protective Services Committee meets. Committee will discuss the 2018 Storm Drainage Master Plan. It is a long-term planning document and guides capital projects that ensure the City's drainage systems are up-to-date and well maintained.

City ice control crews are sanding the City's road network, hauling windrows from priority 2 roads and hauling snow piles from cul-de-sacs. They are also plowing remaining priority 3 routes. Residential snow clearing continues and parking bans are in effect.

Tomorrow, residential snow clearing takes place in the neighbourhoods of Westpointe, Pinnacle, O’Brien Lake, Mission Heights, and Stoneridge. City crews continue with windrow removal and ice control on the City's road network. Parking bans are still in effect.

Council approved policy 346, the Reserve Fund Policy. It was approved with amendments. This policy is being created to ensure all information regarding reserve funding is consistent, to increase administrative efficiency, and to streamline internal processes.

Council voted to rescind Policies 430 (Drug and Alcohol Policy) and 403 (Health, Wellness, and Safety) due to changing legislation at the Provincial and Federal levels in 2018. The policies are to be replaced with City Manager Policies in the future.

Council voted in favour of submitting an Alberta Community Partnership Grant Application in support of inter-municipal collaboration to opioid response and invites other municipalities to partner with the City and endorse the City’s application.

Council endorsed the Community Opioid Response Plan. The plan includes recommendations based on a four pillar model to respond to the opioid crisis in Grande Prairie. The pillars are prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and policing.
