Council directed Mayor Given to write a letter in support of provincial funding for day shelter services in our community. Jared Gossen from the Saint Lawrence Centre attended a Community Living Committee meeting on Nov 6/18 to respond to questions and provide information.

Council approved the naming of a neighbourhood park as Bill Adam Park. The park is located in the neighbourhood of Mountview near 112 Avenue and 93 Street.

Council approved bylaw c-1389, a bylaw that will close the lane between two blocks of land south of 132 Avenue and east of 102 Street. The lane is not required for access to land or future development.

Residential snow clearing continues tomorrow in Tuesday areas (see map). Crews are also clearing priority 2 routes and implementing ice control on priority 1&2 routes. Don't forget, a parking ban is currently in effect on priority 1&2 routes.

Residents are invited to an open house on November 21 about proposed upgrades to 104 Ave between 92 St and 88 St. Attendees will have an opportunity to view design drawings, learn about the project, and connect with project representatives.

Residential snow clearing happens in a two-week rotation in specific neighbourhoods, Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. During these operations, residents are asked to remove vehicles from the roadside to ensure crews have enough space to operate safely and efficiently.

A round of residential snow removal has been initiated. It will begin on Monday in the neighbourhoods of: VLA / Montrose, Mountview (including Summit), Hillside, Crystal Heights, Ivy Lake, and Crystal Landing. More here:

Nov 15/2018: Crews have begun plowing priority 1 and 2 routes and continue to implement ice control on these routes. Residential snow removal is not yet initiated, however crews continue to monitor snowfall and weather conditions in preparation.
