The Southern, Isthmian & Northern Premier Leagues will meet with the FA tomorrow to discuss ‘the way forward’. The Leagues have been told that clubs in tier 3 must play without fans. Tier 2 sides must shut their clubhouses unless used as restaurants. 👉

The FA has told step 3-6 leagues that it’s likely that clubs in tier 3 will have to play behind closed doors. Financially many clubs may feel they can’t afford to play without income from fans. It throws significant doubt on whether leagues & cups can restart from next week.

I also understand: 🔹The majority of the £14m Government funding is likely to be in loans rather than grants. 🔹The FA is considering allowing 5 subs to be used, but this requires FA Council approval.

The FA is awaiting final confirmation from the DCMS on the new rules for non-league steps 3-6. I understand the following are likely: 🔹Clubs CAN travel between all tiers to train/play. 🔹Tier 3 clubs CAN’T have fans. 🔹Major challenges for serving food/drink in tiers 2 & 3.
