The same. AONB designation (not 'status') affords the same level of protection in the planning system as would extending the Peak District National Park to include the Churnet Valley.

This morning we visited the world's largest trial site at Cinderhill tar pit led by Clean Rivers Trust. has been laid on top of the tar and as they root, they take up pollutants, break down the tar and clean up the site. Isn't willow incredible?!
