The man is now in critical condition. It happened later in the afternoon on Gloucester Road. He shouted supporting police slogan and was surrounded and beaten unconscious.

As at 9pm, the man was transferred to the Queen Elizabeth hospital. His condition has improved from "critical" to "serious". Seven others were also injured in street fighting at various parts of Hong Kong island as the city descended into total lawlessness.

This is saddening to see. I hope he makes a recovery. If you act this way when shouted at your no better than the police thugs. I understand anger is boiling up but rember to be in control.

HK police have refused to arrest thugs that attack protesters but only arrest those being attacked for a long time. They do not serve the law equally resulted in drastically increase in violence. Those who with the power should be blamed

According to the law, police can only charge people when full evidence are available . If not enough evidence, then no charge . Simple . But seems like many people forgotten this . And want to charge before evidence .
