My most important job is being a dad to my 3 kids: Maggie, Mike, & Jack. Ask any dad – it’s a tough job – but at the end of the day, dads do their best to support their kids, help them succeed, & try to have some fun along the way. To all the dads today, happy !

“That President Trump hasn’t learned this lesson…means he either doesn’t understand how much of a threat this is to our democracy…or he just doesn’t care.” -Sen. on Trump saying he'd be willing to accept political dirt from foreign entities.

It’s even cooler than My Little Pony – it’s all about harnessing the power of our financial markets to make clean energy projects more attractive to investors. Again, this has nothing to do with ponies. Read more about the bill here:

We had a small My Little Pony mixup last year, so we’ve renamed our bipartisan bill (which we’re reintroducing today) that will help finance our clean energy future.

Despite what his own AG said, President Trump just said he wouldn’t necessarily alert the FBI and that he’d take the information. Republicans and Democrats should agree: that’s unacceptable.

Republicans and Democrats should both speak out - loudly and strongly - against this. Foreign interference in our elections is unacceptable, period.

Jon Stewart is right. Supporting 9/11 first responders isn’t a New York issue, it’s an American issue. The Senate should vote on the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund immediately. There is no time to waste.

These are children, not prisoners of war. We should be doing everything possible to keep families together, not separate them further.

I am watching the events in Hong Kong with great concern. The extradition bill would undermine the “one country, two systems” model that has allowed self-governance in Hong Kong for over two decades. The authorities need to listen to the people of Hong Kong and shelve the bill.

Right now, the government is earning $1.7 billion from an unnecessary, confusing fee on students taking out loans. I’m proposing - w/ colleagues from both sides of the aisle - we eliminate that to save students money and help them pursue their dreams.

Today marks 3 years since 49 lives were taken at the Pulse nightclub shooting. It’s critical that we in every state & community by passing commonsense legislation to comprehensively address gun violence. We need more than thoughts & prayers, we need action.
