With 's new direction, an iCloud sync and true mac technology embracing alternative is now ripe for success. DAM.

We aren't currently developing a DAM program, but we may in the future. :)

Oh wow, that's major news. When did you cease development? As recently as June you mentioned you were working on it

My apologies, the earlier tweet you quoted may have jumped the gun. This may still happen in the long term though. :)

Your About Us page since 2016 has also mentioned you were working on DAM to hopefully launch by 2017. Since been removed but still on WBM.

Sounds like development has ceased in favor of other apps. Completely understand so quite a shock to all of us who have been following

Affinity's often mentions that the DAM was in the works but now is no longer in development. But good to know. Thanks team!

Let me know what you land on as I don't believe there is any ideal alternatives yet. Think Lightroom will sadly still be better than Phase1

workflow. Pixelmator Pro looks amazing but no DAM support. Apple Photos too limited and can't save back external raw non destructive edits.

With Affinity stopping DAM development think we're stuck with Lightroom or mashing together different softwares. I'm staying hopeful though!

I thought High Sierra Photos does update external edits and allow us to edit it back?

Not stopped development, we only ever said it was in our longer-term thinking, tho it has been wrongly reported that we were working on it

Haven't seen "longer term thinking," tweet, but saw one saying its in the works few months ago + affinity would be providing more info.

@wearemacphun announced luminar *will* have dam features, shame I would have loved a dam with simple editing combined with affinity photo
