Nifty!
Microsoft 3D Movie Maker has a bug like this with regards to rotating objects. It's not actually overflowing the float (because it doesn't use floats: it's fixed-point) but inaccuracy in the matrix transform.
The result is if you rotate an object enough, it gets thinner
