Let me explain this picture for the 13737373th time. - Unai Emery had a 1-goal lead against 10 men. - The 10 men equalized, then got another red. - Against 9-men, Unai Emery’s 11 men went from 1-1 to 1-4. - Then got a late goal to make it 2-4. Now, look at the players Unai had.

You’re probably wondering how it happened. I’ll tell you how it happened. Trust me, you will realise that it sounds very familiar. I remember it vividly because I wanted to just end my life that night. Slake umiliato. I was up till 4am hoping the ground would swallow me.

Unai Emery had a team with Baraja, Silva, Mata, Joaquin and Villa but refused to try to keep the ball against NINE men. I’m not kidding. He told his players to hoof it. They hoofed it randomly. And whenever Madrid picked up the ball, they funneled it to Robben.

You know what happens when you give Robben the ball to run at you every 30 seconds? You die. It happened. Madrid attacked us, we won the ball, then gave them the ball back. Unai Emery PARKED THE BUS AGAINST NINE MEN, with Villa, Silva, Mata, Joaquin, Baraja in his team.

I was screaming “DON’T HOOF THE BALL BACK TO THEM FFS” every 20 seconds. Bro, I nearly died. Just so you know, Unai Emery did this at my club for 4 years. This game was just his second game as Valencia manager. Imagine what I went through.

Does this sound familiar? Aha! So when I tell you that my problem with Emery is that he’s still showing the same habits he showed 11 years ago...in 2019, you understand. The guy used to park the bus from the 50th minute with a 1 goal lead. And he almost always blew leads.

But when I was saying things about this man, many were calling me bitter and throwing “he won 3 Europa League titles” in my face. I get it. He won stuff. I admit too that he’s a very good manager *on his day*. And he deserves credit for his trophies.

But he was my manager for 4 whole years. I wouldn’t take him back, ever. He drove me mad. I don’t think you know him more than I do, simply because he put me through suffering for four years. Don’t get me started on his approach in away games. Yes, he was doing it TEN years ago.

Ah. One final detail. Unai used to park the bus from the 50th minute, with a 1 goal lead...against teams battling relegation... At home.

***11 years ago btw. Right at the start of Emery's managerial career. Gonna need better chief.

That wasn’t the start of his career. He had been manager of Almería and Lorca for 4 seasons prior. Also, read the thread to actually understand the point being made.
