Thursday's is a battle between surface cold air & warm air off the ocean. This will change the precip from snow->sleet->freezing rain-> eventually, all rain, from S to N. Ice will be a BIG problem, esp north of Philadelphia.

Thursday's will have minimal impact on your AM rush (just a bit of snow possible south of Philadelphia.) But, the combination of slick roads NW & localized flooding SE will cause BIG problems for the PM rush.

Once the wintry mix turns to rain Thursday, expect some heavy downpours into the night. Future Tracker shows around 2" of rain for most of area- enough to cause ponding on roads and localized flooding in poor drainage areas.

Tonight at 11: I'll go one-on-one with Villanova coach Jay Wright! Has winning national championships changed him? How does he deal with so much time away from his family? What makes this man tick?

Expected snow/sleet map still looks good for Thursday's Limited snow near Philadelphia, 2-4 hours of sleet, then a change to heavy rain. Cold air will hang on the longest to the north. Icy is the main concern, followed by heavy rain overnight

My main concern with Thursday's is NOT snow, it's ice! Snowfall looks relatively limited. But, there will be sustained period of mid day sleet/freezing rain generally N&W of Philadelphia. Untreated roads will likely be slippery!

Models still show a wintry mix of sleet/snow arriving Thursday AM & pushing into the NW suburbs during the afternoon before changing to rain. Some slippery roads possible. Updates on at noon. Bundle up today, BTW. W-chills in 30s!

Dress for winter Wednesday! Wind chills start in the 20s and get no better than the mid 30s. At least, it'll be dry with some sunshine! That changes Thursday.

If they are untreated, yes, mainly Philadelphia and north.
