Every child's well-being matters profoundly. Taking a child from a parent is vicious and indefensible. Am I "off-brand" here? Superficially, yes. Fundamentally, no.

Genuinely puzzling. *Nothing* in front-page layout hints at realities that “border crisis” was 100% result of Trump policy decision, nor that he, DHS Sec, and press spox have flat-out lied (until a few minutes ago) about “Congress alone” having responsibility to stop this abuse.

Same to you. Also the bookstore in Bar Harbor is great. And there is a nest antiques shop in NE Harbor with books and ephemera. Also visit Thuya Gardens.

Hike! The park is fabulous. Also, if you like seafood: Beale's Lobster Pound in SW Harbor, The Seafood Ketch in SW Harbor. Epi's pizza in Bar Harbor. And soft-serve blueberry iceream at CJ's in Bar Harbor. Enjoy!

is such a wonderful source of mountain climbing history. It was certainly helpful as I researched Fanny Bullock Workman for my forthcoming book "Queen of the Mountaineers."
