I’d really love to turn on the six o’clock news w/ Walter Cronkite. Just once more hear actual news. Calm, objective recitation of day’s events. Reporting. No commentary. No hyperbole. No tit for tat. Just information so we can come to terms with events of the day. News.

That was a great convo. Especially the parts about forming communities online and on the ground. And with what intentions we create and nurture them. Let’s do that again.

I don’t think measuring how desperately some people DON’T want him matters. Measure the determination of the people who mean to stay in power. Whatever it takes. They’re not busy trying to be virtuous or constructive or fair. Winning is their focus.

There’s a never ending set of housing recommendations none of which include paying people higher wages. So they can afford housing. We love housing subsidies. The Weeds interviews Jenny Schuetz on housing policy - Vox

I agree with all. Houston has a housing prob - and we also have a major wage problem. We like to look at housing without looking at wages. We could pay people more - or we can continue to incentivize developers to build cheaper.

I’m kind of sick and tired of reading about millennials being awful. Not my experience at all. I’ve got a lot of faith in millennials and they teach me a lot. We promised them and raised them for a world that doesn’t exist and they’re doing a pretty good job of coping.
