If Jordan Peterson told his fanboys to drink poison, so they could shed their mortal form and be one with logic, half of them would do it, and the rest would say "well actually he's been misrepresented, as the cyanide is really a metaphor for taking responsibility for your life".

It’s amazing how afraid people are of a dude that’s just psychologist and a philosopher. It’s not a cult. Why is it so awful for people to like another human being? He’s not hurting the world. He’s trying to help it.

Just because someone's *trying* to help the world doesn't mean they can't be doing actual harm to it instead.

Like social justice warriors?

"Social justice warriors" tend to actually evaluate as to whether they're harming the world or not - Jordan does not appear to be doing that at all.

Yeah they really don’t, but good try though. Some of them do I’m sure and you have no idea of JP is self evaluating either. Do you live in his head?

When people consider it mocking to quote him directly during an interview - yes, yes we do think he doesn't evaluate himself.

Ok then. It’s almost impossible for someone in his profession and level of success to not be highly self aware.

Really? How about fangirls like me? And btw you seem to be out of the loop entirely with how smart and thoughtful his fanbase is (even the men, shock horror)

I've interacted with a lot of his fan base. They are not smart. They are parrots.

And I'm a JBP fangirl complete with a lobster costume and an ever tidier home, so you wanna call me a Parrot? Parrots are awesome. I recommend you befriend some.

It's a fun inside joke. Basically his detractors have tried to twist his words e.g. "we should live like lobsters" (see Cathy Newman) so we've owned the joke instead and turned it into a fan meme.

He made the sensible and accurate point that societal hierarchies have existed since crustaceans, as opposed to the commie claim that hierarchies are a capitalist invention.
