1/2 Thanks to Ann Mynott's legacy gift, have been able to support a £250,000 two-year neurology pilot. Some neurology patients may have better outcomes with dedicated intervention. The team hopes this pilot will prove the benefits of this approach.

(2/2) We do appreciate that this is not an ideal situation for our patients. We are sorry if we have caused any inconvenience to you, although we have taken this decision in the interests of patient and staff safety.

(1/2) Hi Mezna, unfortunately our drive-through service is our only one where patients can 'drop in'. For safety we are no longer taking walk-ins on site and all blood tests must be booked. Pre-booked slots are there for our patients attending clinics however.

Toby left a few ‘random acts of kindness’ gifts on the ambulances to thank everyone. One crew invited him to look around the ambulance which absolutely made his day. Although Toby and his mum didn’t get their names, they’d love to send a massive thank you!

This is 3-year-old Toby. He spent two days and one night at our hospitals for blood tests, an MRI scan, Lumbar Puncture and Video-EEG.  Both Toby and his mum want to say thank you to everyone involved in his care!

We received some wonderful praise for Sara, one of our diabetes dietitians. "I was admitted to ward C10 with blood cancer - I am type 1 diabetic which complicates treatment. Sara is efficient, empathetic and no fuss. A perfect balance of what was needed!"

Hi Sue, we haven't removed the seating around the hospital. We are recommending people plan their journey ahead of visiting us & arrive at the time of their appointment rather than before. To help reduce the amount of people waiting in the hospital & to help keep everyone safe.
