Talia came to visit for lunch today as she is volunteering nearby . It was refreshing and inspiring to hear a young person speak so passionately about their work experience! ❤️

2 abstracts that I submitted to have been selected for presentation at their 2019 conference. I'm so excited to share my work nationally as I feel so passionate about it! For now though, I'm all set up at Highbury Grange for allergy clinic! 🥜🥝🍳

Oral food challenges this morning . It's our busiest day of the week with 8 patients being challenged throughout the day. I've tried a Bamba Snack for the first time, it's like a wotsit made from peanut. It was tasty until it glued my mouth together! 🥜

Working with nursing associate Kate today . Oral food challenges all passed this morning! Woohoo! For one little patient that means we have disputed her last allergy! No more allergy plans, antihistamine or adrenaline pens...

We prepare for oral food challenges a week in advance . The notes are pulled by admin, a booklet is filled out as a safety netting procedure by the specialist nurse, the food doses are calculated by a dietitian. Emergency medication is prescribed.

I've updated our adolescent board to ensure that our children and young people know what the mean. A visual sign that we are inclusive of all identities ! 🌈

Just finished a busy day of food challenges followed by clinic . We have had a new delivery of trainer pens! Clinic is a protected and calm space to practice administration with a pretend adrenaline-autoinjector device. Please refer to video:
