Said this for years. People want us to come, remove and resolve the problem (short and long term) and don’t want to be rail roaded to court etc.

In contrast, refuge funding has been slashed from £31.2m in 2010 to £23.9m in 2017. Some 60 per cent of women are turned away from refuges because there is not enough space. Domestic abuse kills 15 times as many as terrorism.

Always saw each of my staff, face to face, at least once every block of shifts (large area to cover!). Their good work made us look good, so only fair I told, thanked & looked after them. Without them, I’d be irrelevant.

Maybe they’d like to voice that opinion to the Ghurkas 🤷🏻‍♂️ And maybe, they’d care to express their thanks to *all* those who serve in the military to allow him the opportunity to have such an opinion. It is their sacrifice that affords such freedom.

As will the seemingly forthcoming return to targets. The ingenuity will arise around hitting the 20%, not doing the right thing for all - particularly if you can’t objectively measure it.

Thank you! As the strat command course states, truth doesn’t speak to power. Equally, power needs to seek out and listen to what it may not want to hear. We take & act on endless feedback from victims, HMIC, IOPC etc (often rightly so!) but rarely from our colleagues staff.

Sir, this is particularly evident when integrating rank. I’ve seen some great ideas closed / fail because the supervisor had their own and rode roughshod over the top. The issue is allowing leadership and ingenuity from all officers & staff, not just ranking officers.
